Sometimes things just don't go as planned. and you just have to let it go.
This weekend I really wanted to dye eggs. I prepared all the dyes (the same dye that we bought last year that went unused) and had my eggs ready to go, but then it was time to leave for dinner at my dad's. I had like 3 eggs done, and some of those eggs were only half dyed.By the time we got back, all motivation was gone and it was time to get G down for bed...and so now I have partially dyed easter eggs that taste just as delicious.xo,L [[print by Nan Lawson]]

I am still loving everything color. Isn't this a gorgeous rainbow of crepe paper and garlands? Read more about how this colorful paper installation was made right here. Amazing!
Have a lovely weekend my readers! T and I will just be enjoying the weekend together and Sunday we're having an Easter dinner with my dad.

T and I have been wanting to purchase an abacus for a while now. It's something we both would love to learn how to use and it's something that would be fun for Baby G to play with and eventually use to learn math.
We've spotted one at IKEA and seen others in catalogs, but when I saw this over-sized DIY abacus featured on Ohdeedoh, I instantly flagged it as a project to make in the near future.
Isn't it perfect? and big? and I love how it looks above the crib. It's a great piece of art to compliment any room.
I really can't wait to make one myself!

After seeing this image of salt water taffy on Creature Comforts, I had to follow the link to Vanilla & Lace and read all about making my own salt water taffy.
I have to admit, the idea of making taffy seems intimidating, but this recipe really has me intrigued and I'd love to try and make some myself.

My sweet boy turns one on Saturday. Here is the finished invite I sent out. A lot of inspiration came from this crafty lady. Love her blog.
I'm really loving lots of color these days and these macarons definitely satisfy that color craving.
I've never been big on macarons (maybe I'm missing out), but The Cake Inspired gives a recipe for anyone that wants to make some.
Happy weekend!

Loving this print from Red Stamp.
I need to get this stat. It would be perfect to hang near the door so I can read these simple words everyday before I leave for work. Perfect.

I love spring.
I love pink dogwoods.
I love watching all the flowers bloom. It's magical.
Get this fun paper craft calendar from curiosity group to kick off the month of April.
April is an awesome month. Lots of birthdays! our wedding anniversary! and my sweet baby turns 1 this month!
I hope you all have a great weekend! Monday is our 2nd wedding anniversary, so I'm taking the day off from work. We might go to the zoo. or maybe we'll go for a movie (since we have pre-paid tickets from AAA that we need to use). or maybe both.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend full of sunshine.
