Hubby turns 33 today! He's not that excited, but it's a birthday!!! and I'm trying to make birthday's more special. In the past we have kind of, eh, treated it like a normal day. But my new goal is to try and make these days a little extra special. After all we're celebrating another year!
So today I took a half day off from work, went and bought hubby a balloon, mountain dews, and some dark chocolate reese's cups. Nothing says a birthday like that! Ha!
[Really, it's special. Hubby gave up the Mountain Dews. He was a true addict. So today is special enough that I bought him a 12 pack.]
and tonight, I think we're going to dinner.
Hope you all have a great weekend!

My personal chef (aka. husband) cooked up this veggie stir-fry on Sunday and it was delicious! This is a must keep recipe. It's falls into the category of recipes that I love - quick and easy. Healthy is an added bonus.
P.S. I'm totally loving my new camera!
I love everything from IKEA, but I'm really itching to get my hands on those picture ledges. I can see them in our baby nursery, or even our living room.
Oh, IKEA, how I love you.
If you want to waste hours watching people sketch, or to draw something yourself, odosketch is a site you must visit. Seriously. These people have some major skills.

I would love the have a couple of these herb bottles in my kitchen.

I feel like it's time to change the url to this little 'ol blog of mine, since it's no longer about my wedding anymore.

I made these sweet peanut butter cups to accompany the hub's little gift.
Mine didn't look quite as pretty, but the recipe was pretty easy. Next time though, I'm going to use milk chocolate and make them in the mini-size muffin tin. It was a lot of chocolate.
Happy Eats!

The hubs and I usually don't go crazy on valentine's day. So this year I made him a simple coupon book, which included a little gift - the new Radiohead album that is due to be released Feb. 19th. He also got some homemade peanut butter cups!
This is a simple project, good for any occasion.
1. Design coupons and print on cardstock.
2. Cut out and punch small holes for binding.
3. Run through sewing machine without thread (creates that easy tear that you love).
4. Use embroidery thread to bind the book.
5. Present to that special person.
Easy as 1, 2, 3.
Hope you all had a wonderful V-day!

The awesome packaging.
My boots arrived, and I think I like the box better than my shoes!

I just bought myself this late Christmas gift. I've been wanting rain boots for a long time...and I just love these. Not too tall, too shiny, too odd looking, or too expensive (I've been eyeing Hunters for a while now, but can't fork over $100). Maybe I'm just picky, but I'm trusting the good 'ol Keens to do me well. I have 2 pairs of other Keens and love 'em!
Head on over to Curiosity Group to partake in their 2011 monthly calendar series. They are kicking off the New Year with a fun and adorably cute little calendar for January. I'm going to put mine together tonight, and then it will be joining me to work tomorrow morning.
Don't forget to check back every month!
Happy New Year!
