Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I think we'll be visiting the newlyweds this weekend and watching a little football. Then we have a little holiday gathering to attend at my Mom's on Sunday.
Remember these heart pins that I blogged about a long time ago? That I absolutely loved. and then some sweet lady in Iowa who loves me, sent me some. Well the purl bee has blogged instructions on how to make Christmas tree pins! So so so cute!
I meant to post this yesterday, but today marks the official countdown to Christmas. and we will be kicking it off with this advent calendar that T's mom made us. Each day we'll add to the tree ending with an angel at the top. I think I might be more excited than Baby G, but hopefully it will become something he loves to do too.
After my friends wedding, I'm loving these wire letters. She used 3 T's throughout her reception decor. They're so simple and that's what I love. They aren't too frilly either and can easily add a little fun to the home decor. or Baby G's nursery!
After indulging in lots of pumpkin pie this last weekend, I'm still on a pumpkin kick. This pumpkin creme brulee looks delicious and might require me to break out my mini baking torch.
...make this beautiful chandelier. Perfect for any outdoor occasion.
I'd really love to get one of these map quilts for Baby G. Such a fun idea! and a way to remember his first city.
...this pumpkin tiramisu looks oh so yummy...
I've been collecting straws from many places to make this...
If you love owls, or just want a cute 2011 calendar, you can go here and print out a customizable owl calendar. I'm going to print one out for my office!
Supplies:
They were a big hit!
Yep, we've become those parents - we entered Baby G into the GAP Casting Call. We weren't going to do it at first, but then the possibility of just winning a big (as in $1000 big) GAP gift card made it seem worth while (and that's not even the grand prize!). and seriously, who wouldn't want this baby representing GAP? He's so dang cute! and he sits now!
...get this cool screen saver from Real Simple.
This is genius! and just in time for the holidays! This cookware would be the perfect way to solve all those cooking problems that might occur when you have just one oven. Simply bake multiple holiday dishes at once!
...this awesome mortar & pestle is going on our wishlist. We saw this in a store on our stroll through downtown Decatur and instantly knew it was something we wanted, eventually...
Made these delicious cupcakes last week. I really need to work on my piping skills and photography skills.
I'm really loving this polka dot tape from none such things. I just might have to get myself some for use around the home.
Another freebie for the weekend - a bunting thank you card. I can't seem to get enough bunting these days either.
My favorite salsa has to be the mango salsa from Black Cat Burrito, one of my most favorite restaurants in Boone, NC. I get cravings for their delicious burritos often and it makes me miss Boone even more. If you're ever in the area, it's a must try restaurant.
I seriously need to try my hands at making some flower garland.
Head on over to design*sponge to read Grace's top 20 fabric resources list. I'm super excited to find new places to look for fabric!
I am really loving this idea. Just change the words and you could do this for any kind of party.
Hope you all had a great week! T's mom was in town for the week, so Baby G had lots of extra love. and T didn't mind the extra set of hands during the day either!
We got a pottery barn kids catalog in the mail the other day and I'm loving it! This play table is something I'd really like, but it's way too expensive. So T is going to draw one up in Sketch Up and we're gong to build our own. Now when will this happen? Who knows, but we at least have a little time before Baby G needs a play table.
A tepee like the one above is something that I would eventually love to make for Baby G. How fun would it be to go and hang out in a tepee?
Maybe you can get your nose into a good book this labor day weekend. and while you're at it, enjoy these fun and easy-to-make magnetic bookmarks. I plan on trying to finish eat pray love and enjoy a little u.s.open tennis action.
Using tape and fabric paint, Jessica from How About Orange painted her own fabric which she then sewed into that beautiful pillow cover. How cool is that? I love the simple design, but I really love that she left the tape edges raw - giving it a little more character.
I'm totally digging this diy wedding. I especially love how they brought in lots of color using chairs that her hometown has used for past events. What a great idea!

Aren't these printable bobbins co cute? Such a fun way to hold all of your embroidery thread.
I love these fun and creative invitations Brooke made for her son's birthday party. Such a great idea and so cute! I especially love that the kids get to pop the confetti-filled balloon to get the invitation.
It's funny how things manage to get lost in your reader, but I was browsing through my starred items when I came across some doodle fonts. Amazing!
I have always wanted to grow some herbs and I think I've found the perfect planter. I'll take 3 please!
Don't these banana bites look oh so yummy? I love bananas and I love chocolate, so it seems like a divine combination.
There's nothing like seeing this when you've finished a cupcake - describing exactly how you feel.
In addition to the cupcakes, I threw this banner together using the alphabet bunting printables mentioned on Friday. I used the sewing machine to sew all the bunting together. I love how it turned out. Bunting definitely spruces up any occasion!
I made these cupcakes for my mom's birthday. Not quite as pretty, but just as tasty. I'm still working on my piping skills.
Have you seen this printable bunting over on Ruffled? You can spell out any message you want! This may be perfect for an upcoming birthday.
