recognize this dress?
Check out this cool wedding at Dylan's Candy Bar in New York. How fun!On April 5, the couple was escorted by their three boys down an aisle lined with lollipop trees at Dylan’s Candy Bar in New York. The bride wore a borrowed dress made of candy wrappers that was designed for “Project Runway.” Rabbi Douglas Sagal then led them in their vows beneath a wedding canopy of giant Whirly Pops and candy-colored balloons.
Their 50 guests dined on peanut butter and jelly tarts and candy sushi (coconut rice, Swedish Fish and Fruit Roll-Ups) while the couple danced to “Sugar, Sugar.”

honeymoon: the arboretum
On Thursday we went to the NC Arboretum. This place is really amazing - 434 acres of land full of many conservation development projects and studies. They have permeable parking lots, 'green' roofs, and recycling systems for all their water - rain water too!
They offered segway tours of the property...so who could pass that up?
We had about 45 minutes of videos and one-on-one instruction before the tour began. Learning to ride the segway was pretty easy. It's all based on your center of balance (your belly button). The segway takes about 100 reading per second and moves where your belly button moves. It's really easy once you get used to it.
This was a fun way to wrap up our nice and relaxing honeymoon. We'll definitely be back to visit again.

honeymoon: the biltmore gardens
Next we toured the gardens at the Biltmore and were just in time for the beautiful tulips. Have I mentioned that I love tulips?
We were a little too early to see much of anything else in bloom except the tulips. So to get out of the cold, we made our way around the conservatory and saw absolutely gorgeous and unique plants.
Next up...our segway tour...

MAJOR paper love
I am in serious awe after I saw these sewn goodies.
Kathy of Merriment took inspiration from this fabric...
...and created these lovelies using that fabric and a sewing machine. I'm pretty much left speechless.
Luckily for you, complete DIY instructions can be found on Merriment (just be sure to honor the copyright note).
**sewn poppy fabric invitations
**sewn return address on envelopes and matching custom photo stamps
**escort cards
**table numbers sewn with poppy flowers and leaves
**sewn wedding programs

a new layout
I modified my layout - added picture links for my wedding vendors in case anyone wants information about the vendors I used.
(I wasn't able to add a link for my florist and ceremony musician. My gorgeous flowers were done by a family friend and my musician was found through Emory's School of Music. Contact me if you're interested in finding a local musician - she plays violin and her husband plays piano).

--keep organizing the house
--clean refrigerator

21 and 22
I love when things happen with numbers. and I'm sure I'm the only one that feels that way...
You know, like when I'm balancing the check book and a pattern forms in all of the math, or when I'm at work at and a certain pneumoniae type happens to fall on numbers that are multiples of three (and yes, I'm a dork).
and I especially love when I guess my gas cost exactly at the pump (which has only happened once in my 8 years of gas-buying).
So yesterday afternoon I went to fill up. I guessed $21.17, but it stopped at $21.00. but hitting the zeros is sweet too, because really how often does that happen? Well last night T and I went to fill up his car (a 95 subby), and guess what? it stopped on $22.00! I just got a kick out of that - one whole number apart and both hitting the zeros.
Okay okay...I know...I really am a dork.

final favors
...and I love them. I tied two small hearts {one card stock and one homemade seed paper} to the jar with twine and embroidery string. Then I added our logo to the top of the jar.
In addition, I made magnets for our guests to take home, but forgot to snap some pictures.

for sale: napkin rings
I have roughly ~90 napkin rings left.
I'm thinking of selling them. Let me know if you're interested - I'm willing to sell all of them to one person, or if you want a small set of 4 or 8, that's a possibility too.
I think the red ones would make a nice addition to any UGA themed party or get together.

Everything was perfect!
More to come soon, but much needed house cleaning and organization is a must!
Here's a sneak peek of some of the paper beauties making their debut at my wedding.
