a beautiful chest

My dad brought over a surprise last week - a beautiful chest from 1937 passed down from his grandparents. He had it refinished for us and it looks beautiful. and we love the fresh smell of cedar. So this means, more storage for blankets and winter clothes!

new shoes

...and they were only $11.88 from Target. I've been wanting some shoes to wear around the house since we have all hardwoods. Slippers don't always fair well with Miss Abby Normal running around, so I opted for some slip-on clogs. Best purchase ever! They're so warm and comfy and cute!

i won something! i actually won!

Today we had our company's annual Christmas lunch. They had a camp chair or duffel bag for everyone, but then they gave away 5 bigger gifts - visa gift card, nikon cool pix camera and an xbox 360.

and I won the xbox 360! Needless to say, T was happy to hear the news. and I say it was all because of Baby S. He was my good luck!

So today, after watching my tennis lover Roger Federer win his 15th grand slam, I saw that we both married in April 2009! and ironically, our original date was the same date as his, April 11.

And! his opponent, the serving speed-demon Andy Roddick, was also wed in April 2009!

And...for the heck of it, I wiki'd April 4th. It gives you a list of all the events and births that occurred on that day. It's REALLY interesting.

Just a few fun events that share our wedding date:
